Landscape of Prints, A Green Event
Prints 2008 is our biennial benefit. This year
it takes place on Saturday, October 4 in the sculpture garden of the Academy Art Center.
Like most arts organizations, we depend on the good will of the community. Instead of
simply asking for money to support our programs, we have developed a novel way of giving
as well as getting. At the benefit each ticket holder is entitled to one of the prints on
display, all of which have been donated by local printmakers. At the end of the evening,
everyone goes home, wined and dined, with a print in hand, with proceeds going to support
the programs of Honolulu Printmakers including exhibitions, educational outreach and a
well-equipped print studio. |
